Crime Statistics – Violence on Children and Adolescents Decreases by up to 37%
Violence on children and adolescents is a social strain as well as a challenge. Each act of violence is condemnable. Each child and adolescent gets severely harmed, physically and mentally. Thus, the figures of the federal statistics on crime can never be a report of success. But – and this is good news for child protection – the numbers improve. I.e., compared to the figures of the last years, less children and adolescents are affected by violence.
In2015 – compared to 2010 – violence against children decreased by 28%.
Serious injuries and grievous bodily harms went down by 24,7% for children under 14 and by more than 37% for adolescents aged 14 to 18.
This development is observable for all criminal assaults. It exudes confidence for the next years.
